The Wave is a unique architect designed lodge with breathtaking sea views located in Eype. Only constructed in 2018 this contemporary lodge has bifold doors making the most of the amazing views and blending inside with outside. This makes the interior very light and you can really appreciate the sea air. Just a few minutes walk to the beach it is also close to the South West Coast Path so perfect for ramblers or anyone that likes a walk with stunning coastal and countryside views. Eype enjoys a long pebble beach (Eypemouth Beach) that is dog friendly all year round. The South West Coast Path passes just above the beach and affords wonderful views over the coast and East Ebb Cove. There are plenty of places to eat out with The Smugglers Bar, Martin's Bar and Grill, The New Inn and a little further out Downhouse Farm Cafe. But you are so close to West Bay a very pleasant walk will take you to over 10 more choices of eatery. Plenty of things to do nearby including taking a canoe tour down the River Brit, going on a white knuckle rib ride along the coast, taking a tour of nearby Palmers Brewery, going on a Jurassic Ebike adventure or looking for fossils on one of the many guided walks.
The accommodation at The Wave comprises of an open plan living area with bifold doors leading out to the decked area, TV, WiFI, large corner sofa and dining table with seating for six. The kitchen comes equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine as well as a range of accessories and utensils. There are two ground floor bedrooms arranged as a double and a twin with a bathroom with bath, shower, basin and toilet. Up to the first floor where you will find a king size double bedroom. A cot and highchair can be provided upon request.
Outside is a decked area complete with table and chairs and those amazing sea views. There is off road parking available. Your fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price.
With the stunning golden glow of the majestic sandstone cliffs and the shimmering radiance of Golden Cap, West Bay is the Golden Gateway to the Jurassic Coast. Formerly known as Bridport Harbour, West Bay lies just 2 miles away from Bridport and has a small harbour, 2 piers and 2 beaches one of which is part of Chesil Beach. West Bay was made famous as the location of a television series by the BBC called Harbour Lights, which aired in 1999 and 2000 and starred Nick Berry. At the top of the cliff lies the Bridport and West Dorset Golf Club with a full 18-hole course and 9-hole "pitch and putt" course in the summer season.
