Seabiscuit is set on a 350 acre private estate that has its own beech just three quarters of a mile from the cottage. Located on the Jurassic Coast between Lyme Regis and Beer, the cottage sits on the end of a row and enjoys countryside views. Visit the caves at Beer or the miniature railway at Pecorama or travel to Lyme Regis and it's famous Cobb.

The accommodation at Seabiscuit comprises of a large living room with open fire, Freeview TV, DVD player, radio/CD player, French doors and wooden floor. Large well-equipped kitchen/dining room with tiled floor equipped with microwave, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. Separate toilet.

First floor: Double bedroom with 5ft bed, balcony with views and en-suite bathroom with roll-top bath, double shower and toilet. Double bedroom with 5ft bed and en-suite shower room with toilet. Twin bedroom with additional single bed (for 1), TV and en-suite shower room with toilet.

Outside there is a large lawned garden with patio and furniture as well as 360 acres of the estate to explore. A travel cot and high chair can be arranged. There is ample parking and your electric, bed linen and towels are all included in the price.

Lyme Regis

Lyme Regis, nicknamed 'The Pearl of Dorset' is the most westerly town in Dorset and lies on the World Heritage Jurassic Coast. The town is famed for its fossils which can be found on its beaches and cliffs. The famous harbour wall known as 'The Cobb' featued in the film and novel of The French Lieutenant's Woman by John Fowles as well as Jane Austen's Persuasion.

Lyme Regis has quite a history and is mentioned in the Doomsday Book. These days, areas of interest include the Lyme Regis Marine Aquarium which displays local fish and marine life from the Jurassic Coast. The Town Mill dates back to 1340 and is fully restored to working order and still produces flour which can be purchased from its shop. Lyme Regis Museum houses a large collection of local memorabilia, historical items and exhibits explaining the local geological and palaeontological treasures. Set into the pavement, outside the museum, is an ornate example of Coade stone work, in the form of ammonites. The Dinosaurland Fossil Museum is also located in Lyme Regis in the former church where Mary Anning, famous fossil collector, dealer, and paleontologist was christened.
