La Casa is situated in the much sought after Harbour area of Lyme Regis with views over Lyme Bay and the harbour-side. You are just a stones throw from the sandy beach that has been awarded a Blue Flag for clean water for many years. The modern interior allows for wonderful sea views from the lounge and kitchen through large bay windows with comfortable window seats. From there you can sit, relax and watch the comings and goings from the harbour. All amenities are just a short walk from La Casa, with Mark Hix's Oyster and Seafood restaurant close by, cafes, pubs, a large array of independent shops, Langmoor Gardens, the Aquarium, the museums and a theatre all within easy reach.
The accommodation at La Casa Apartment comprises of a modern kitchen equipped with an electric hob and oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and washing machine and dining table with chairs for six, bay window with window seats and sea views. The south facing lounge has a flatscreen TV, DVD player, WiFi and more window seats and views. There are three bedrooms, a double with en suite shower room, a twin and a bunk room. There is a family shower room with basin and toilet.
Outside to the front of the property is a shared garden with lawned area. There are a couple of alternatives for car parking. To the rear of the apartment there is a private car park where visitors can park for a weekly fee or if you don’t mind a walk up the hill, there is the Holmbush car park where you can park for around £14 a week. However, during the winter months, i.e. from 1st October through till the 15th of March, you are permitted to park in the road right outside the property. Your fuel and power are included in the price.
Lyme Regis, nicknamed 'The Pearl of Dorset' is the most westerly town in Dorset and lies on the World Heritage Jurassic Coast. The town is famed for its fossils which can be found on its beaches and cliffs. Lyme Regis has quite a history and is mentioned in the Doomsday Book. These days, areas of interest include the Lyme Regis Marine Aquarium which displays local fish and marine life from the Jurassic Coast. The Town Mill dates back to 1340 and is fully restored to working order and still produces flour which can be purchased from its shop. Lyme Regis Museum houses a large collection of local memorabilia, historical items and exhibits explaining the local geological and palaeontological treasures. Set into the pavement, outside the museum, is an ornate example of Coade stone work, in the form of ammonites. The Dinosaurland Fossil Museum is also located in Lyme Regis in the former church where Mary Anning, famous fossil collector, dealer, and paleontologist was christened.
