Hideaway Cottage is set between Broadwindsor and Beaminster set in the stunning countryside that West Dorset has to offer. This detached house offers excellent accommodation for large families or two families holidaying together with four en-suite bedrooms. You are well located to enjoy the countryside and quaint villages of the area or head for the coast and explore the golden sands at Lyme Regis and the rest of the World Heritage Jurassic Coast.
The accommodation at Hideaway Cottage comprises of a spacious living room with wood burning stove, tiled floor with French doors leading outside, Freeview TV, DVD player, iPod dock and WiFi. The large dining room also has a tiled floor and has a table and chairs for eight. The kitchen comes very well equipped with French doors leading outside, granite worktops, electric double Aga, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and range of accessories and utensils and a washing machine and tumble dryer in a utility area. One double bedroom is located on the ground floor so id ideal for those with less mobility and has a walk in wardrobe and en-suite shower room with a double shower, basin and toilet.
Up the stairs to the first floor and you will find two double bedrooms, one having an en-suite bathroom with bath, double shower cubicle and toilet, one with en-suite shower room with double shower cubicle and toilet. Finally there is a twin bedroom with an en-suite shower room with double shower cubicle and toilet. A travel cot and highchair can be provided upon request.
Outside there is a large lawned garden with decked patio complete with furniture and barbecue. A welcome pack is provided for you on arrival and there is ample parking. Hideaway Cottage accepts one well behaved pet that stays free of charge. Your fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price.
Beaminster is a small town in West Dorset which retains a village feel and is located at the head of the valley of the River Brit. The town is home to the Beaminster Festival, an annual event of music and art. This is usually a 9 day event held in late June and 2013 will see its 18th year. Recently, West Dorset has been voted the most popular area of outstanding natural beauty by the readers of National Country Walking Magazine. Now you can explore the area in the company of Llamas with guided Trekking, Rambling and Walking Tours with UK Llamas based just outside of Beaminster. Or try your hand at disc golf at Whitcombe Disc Golf Course, where the British Open Disc Championship has been held. Just think of playing golf but with a frisbee!
