Grazeland Cottage lies just north of Bridport in beautiful West Dorset countryside next to the owner's home but lies just a few miles from the World Heritage Jurassic Coast giving you the best of both worlds. Aside from one step up into a bedroom, all the accommodation lies on the ground floor so would be appropriate for those visiting with impaired mobility. From the rear patio, you can enjoy views over the 6 acre paddock and from the conservatory you can enjoy views over the large front garden to the rolling hills beyond. This part of West Dorset is beautiful and there are many walks that you can enjoy from this location which can also be enjoyed with up to two well behaved pates as Grazeland Cottage is pet friendly. The closest pub is just 2 miles away and is the locally acclaimed Shave Cross Pub serving seasonal food and catering for dietary requirements and serving local speciality beers. Bridport itself is just a short drive away and has a mix of high street and local shops and a weekly market. The coastline along here is well worth your time exploring and you have West Bay, Charmouth and Lyme Regis close by.
The accommodation at Grazeland Cottage comprises of a large sitting room with dining area TV, DVD player, CD player and WiFi enabled throughout. The kitchen is equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer. The conservatory has additional relaxation options and doors and views out to the garden. There are two bedrooms arranged as a double with a separate basin and toilet and a twin bedroom. There is a shower room with large shower with an integrated seat, basin and toilet. A cot can be provided upon request.
Outside is a large garden with a covered pond, patio area complete with furniture and a barbecue. There is off road parking available. Your fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price.
Bridport is a market town on the Jurassic coast. The clay cliffs are abundant with fossils making the area popular with fossil hunters. Its most famous landmark is the view of the conical Colmers Hill with small clump of trees aligned with West Steet. Bridport has an arts centre, cinema, library and museum. The museum includes an extensive exhibition of the town's long history of rope-making and is open 10am - 5pm daily except Sunday from Easter until the end of October. Entry and access to all exhibitions is free. The Bridport Literary Festival has been running since 2005 and has played host to the industries biggest names. The Food Festival is held in late June at Asker Meadow and showcases locally produced foods for which the area is well known. The Food Festival week concludes with the Round Table Beer Festival.
