Chalet Monet is a single-storey timber lodge with a Monet inspired garden in the picturesque village of Bothenhampton set between Bridport and West Bay. Lying in a conservation area the area is rich in wildlife and has numerous walks and trails to explore as well as a shop and pub within walking distance. The lodge accepts up to two pets to take advantage of all those walks and has an enclosed garden full of interesting plants such as roses, peonies, irises, many climbing plants and water lilies in two unfenced ponds. Bridport has weekly markets and has many events throughout the year. West Bay is a working harbour where cruises can also be taken. You may recognise some of the scenery around these parts if you are a fan of Broadchurch and you are well situated to explore along the World Heritage Jurassic Coast.
The accommodation at Chalet Monet is all on the ground floor and comprises of an open plan living area with sofa, Freeview TV and WiFi with dining are complete with circular table and chairs for four. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. The bedroom is arranged as a double and has an en suite shower room with toilet and hand basin.
Outside there is a raised deck area plus a front gravelled area with love seat. There is off road parking for two cars. Your fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price.
With the stunning golden glow of the majestic sandstone cliffs and the shimmering radiance of Golden Cap, West Bay is the Golden Gateway to the Jurassic Coast. Formerly known as Bridport Harbour, West Bay lies just 2 miles away from Bridport and has a small harbour, 2 piers and 2 beaches one of which is part of Chesil Beach. West Bay was made famous as the location of a television series by the BBC called Harbour Lights, which aired in 1999 and 2000 and starred Nick Berry. At the top of the cliff lies the Bridport and West Dorset Golf Club with a full 18-hole course and 9-hole "pitch and putt" course in the summer season.
