Bramble Cottage is a 350 year old Grade II listed thatched stone cottage set in the heart of the village of Burton Bradstock within walking distance of amenities. The village is very well provisioned with the Three Horseshoes pub, the Anchor Inn and the Hive Beach Cafe with it's stunning sea views, a post office and village store and the cliff top Seaside Boarding House Restaurant. The beach itself, Hive Beach, is made up of very small shingle and coarse sand, which is lovely to walk along and hunt out a fossil. The beach will be familiar to anyone that watches Broadchurch as it has featured on several occasions. There is lots to explore close by including Bridport just over 2 miles away with its markets, the West Dorset Golf Club is just over 1 mile away, Lyme Regis with its sandy beach and famous Cobb 13 miles away with the county town of Dorchester and more sandy beaches at Weymouth 16 miles away.
The accommodation at Bramble Cottage comprises of a sitting room with dining area with TV, Blu Ray, Bluetooth radio and WiFi enabled throughout. The kitchen comes equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washing machine with a range of accessories and utensils. There are three bedrooms arranged as a super king size double (can be made up as a twin upon request), a king size double and a single. The bathroom has bath with shower over, basin and toilet. A cot and highchair can be provided.
Outside is a lawned garden complete with patio and outdoor furniture. There is roadside parking on roads near the property. Bramble Cottage also accepts up to two well behaved pets so everyone can enjoy their holidays. Your fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price.
With the stunning golden glow of the majestic sandstone cliffs and the shimmering radiance of Golden Cap, West Bay is the Golden Gateway to the Jurassic Coast. Formerly known as Bridport Harbour, West Bay lies just 2 miles away from Bridport and has a small harbour, 2 piers and 2 beaches one of which is part of Chesil Beach. West Bay was made famous as the location of a television series by the BBC called Harbour Lights, which aired in 1999 and 2000 and starred Nick Berry. At the top of the cliff lies the Bridport and West Dorset Golf Club with a full 18-hole course and 9-hole "pitch and putt" course in the summer season.
